Composition of the B.A.-Program

The following subject areas must be studied in the B.A. programme: In the first year of study, students should successfully complete the epochs Ancient History (AG), Medieval History (MA) and Modern Times (NZ) in the Integrated Proseminar (Module I).  They also take part in one lecture from each of the periods AG, MA and NZ and successfully complete these with a certificate of achievement.

In the second year of study, students should deepen their studies in two of the three epochs AG, MA, NZ. In Module III, there is a choice between the AG and MA periods. NZ must be chosen in Module V.

In the third year of study, students should focus on their final specialisation. One of these specialisations must be in a sub-epoch of NZ. The second specialisation can be in the AG, the MA or also in a sub-epoch of the NZ.
