The executive committee of the Department of History

The Board of the Historicum is the central body of the Department of History. It is made up of professors and junior professors as well as elected representatives of the academic mid-level faculty, students and administrative staff. The Board advises and decides on the Institute's policy, budget and other issues. Every two years, the Executive Board elects the managing director of the institute. They chair the meetings and advise the Dean of the Faculty.


The Central Administration Office

The office is the central secretariat of the institute. Its tasks include supporting students of History and the administration of study matters. Tasks include support in issuing certificates for the Bafög office, for stays abroad and applications to other universities or leaves of absence. The Erasmus mobility programme is organized here. Among other things, it coordinates the calls for applications, corresponds with the partner universities, advises and supports the scholarship holders, registers with the partner universities and looks after the foreign students together with the International Office. The Business Office is responsible for organizing and compiling the annotated course catalog and is involved in the planning and coordination of teaching. The duties of the office also include internal administrative tasks, such as budget management or the preparation and organization of the institute's committees. All examinations in the Bachelor's degree course are also organized here and advice is given on examination regulations, procedures and processes.
